50 Uses for Content
We frequently find ourselves in conversations with clients about the difference between content curation and content creation. Often times, marketers struggle to come up with quality content. As they are racking their brains, attempting to develop new copy for Facebook posts, press releases, sell sheets and more, they overlook this secret: most of the time the content is already created. Use that content to create a curated user experience across all platforms.
In other words, it’s not so much an exercise in creating new content daily, but rather repurposing that quality copy you developed last week, last month, or even last year. After you’ve worked diligently to create a marketing piece that embodies the mission of your brand, take the content from it and utilize it across all areas of your business. Pull an excerpt and draft a quick Facebook post. Pull your favorite line and add it to your website. Write a description of the project and use that as an article in your next e-newsletter. Summarize the campaign and send an all staff email. Write it once, and then reuse it everywhere.
You probably have great messaging out there, now you just have to revise and repurpose it in the right places! Keep the following list in mind when you’re ready to dive into the world of content curation.
And if you’re still struggling, let’s grab of cup of coffee and talk content!
